Hi,

I have a problem with banks left and right. I dont know because not have LOB and ROB in my sections.

I load the project for a look

Thank you,

Kind Regards

There is a difference in the coordinate system of your vector data (NAD83 / Indiana West (ftUS)) and your DTM raster (WGS 84 / Pseudo Mercator). As a consequence, no point is created for any cross-section, including the banks positions.

In order to obtain proper results you have to keep your data in a single coordinate system - either reproject your vector data to the Pseudo Mercator or convert you raster to the NAD83.

Hope that helps,

Thank you for your answer but the problem remain.
I changed the SR of DTM in NAD83/Indiana West (ftUS) but I the LLenght and RLenght are NULL. But the others fields not are NULL..
The field of Channel is correct and other parameters are ok.
This is my screenshot of XSCutlines.

Do you have any points in your cross-sections after importing to HEC-RAS? Please, check if the XSSurface table in your river database contains some points. If the table is empty, have you REPROJECTed the raster or simply changed its spatial reference?

I have a similar problem, the field of ChLength, LLenght and RLenght are NULL, but I do not know why this should be, because I have projected all around WGS 84 / UTM zone 19 S (EPSG 32719)  (https://www.dropbox.com/s/e5a5z1l7h15q58t/Prueba7-colorado.rar?dl=0)
What can be or what is the right coordinate system to use?

Best regards,
Carolina.

Please use any projected coordinate system, either metric or imperial.

Hi all,
I have a question fist time. How the program calculate Bank Postions, if these not are edit?
After, I try a small geometry with 3 cross sections. For two cross sections, I have only channel lenght but not ROB and LOB. I have export sdf file in HEC-RAS.
I have the same problem with all geometry.
Here the sdf file for a look

Thank you,

Please, do not use comments to ask questions.

Bank Positions are calculated based on the bank lines and cross-sections crossings.
LOB and ROB are calculated as lengths of portions of flowpaths (left and right, accordingly) between cross-sections. It seems, you don't have flowpaths in your database.

Sorry, but not undestand very well where I mistake. I must open other post, the next time?

If following step by step, not indicate to edit the bank line, before edit the XSXutlines.
I had thinked more this today. How verify if in my database there's flowpath?
Kind Regards
Thank you to help,

I have changed projected coordniate system (EPSG 2315, EPSG2084, EPSG5356, EPSG24879) and the problem remains, can it refer to something else?

Best regards,
Carolina.

To ask a question use the green link on top of the site or this address: http://q2a.rivergis.com/ask

Antonio, your Flowpaths table has only one object (Channel). You have to create two more - for left and right overbank and assign them type 'Left' and 'Right'. Then your LOB and ROB lengths will be calculated.

Carolina, can you post a sample of your data?

Ok thank you,
I do not open other post to simple.
